Is it safe buying belly button rings from these stores?

-Is it safe buying belly button rings from Hot Topic or Spencers or Zumies or whatever other stores you would find in the mall that sell them? There is this stand at my mall and the guy there sells all sorts of jewelry, including belly button rings.



I'm getting my belly button pierced for the 3rd time and I'm wondering if the metal from those stores would irritate my new piercing wound? If it does, where can I buy belly button rings?

ALSO, is my belly button piercing supposed to get infected the first time I pierce/re-pierce it? I heard somewhere that it's part of the healing process and your body getting used to a piece of metal shoved through the skin, haha.
