Jeans & shorts sizes?

-I'm normally a size 7 in shorts. Does that mean I'll be a 7 in jeans too? I've lost weight & I'm going jean shopping tomorrow. I tried on a pair of jeans in my closet that are a 9 and they were loose on my waist but good on my thighs and calves. Should I just try on a bunch of sizes?oh wow luck you! ive been a size 7 and went up too a 9! im trying too loose weight but idk what would work!! can u please email what u did :) it will be great!
